On October 2 and 3, the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Mozambique team participated in intensive first aid training held in Maputo and provided by the Mozambique Red Cross. The main objective of the training was to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge that would enable them to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations in the course of their duties, preventing or minimizing risks associated with sudden accidents
during fieldwork. The training covered fundamental content, including the identification and treatment of different types of bleeding, the assessment of victims in different scenarios, and appropriate immobilization techniques in cases of fractures and other traumas.

According to WCS Mozambique's coordination team, this initiative represents an important reinforcement for the team's safety, ensuring greater preparedness to deal with unforeseen events and ensuring the continuity of conservation activities with responsibility and protection of human life.
